Matthew 6:27 - "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
I won't say I never worry; I do sometimes. I mostly worry about my kids' safety and their choices in behavior and how those choices will affect them longterm. I have always been one to pray for something and then get in God's way by trying to help His process along. You would think I'd learn that when I wait on God, we would have a much better outcome. So I have to trust God with my kids.
I usually keep the toddlers during the 11:00 service at church, but today since our numbers were down, we combined the toddlers and the two-year-olds. I really like those two-year-olds! I think Beth is going to move me after the first of the year.
After church, we all went to Tyler to spend our Christmas money, and I left all my Kohl's cards at home. I just finished shopping online. It was more fun anyway.
I started reading Beverly Lewis's The Covenant. It seems like it will be pretty good as far as first chapters go.
I still haven't touched my piano. I may try to make a point of doing that on my school piano during my lunch time during the week.
I ramble...
I'm ending today's post with a quote shared this morning by Bro. Bryan:
"God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied with Him." - John Piper
Trust! Trust! Trust!

Day 1 - December 26
1. Matthew 5:16 - "...let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." I think about the number of people I have encountered during my lifetime, and I wonder what kind of impression I have left on them. Scary!
2. AM - I wish somebody in this house would get up so I could work on being more loving. Who am I kidding; I love my alone time. Check back with me at the end of the day.
PM - It helps when you cook dinner and everyone likes what you cook.
3. Household - I ran the dishwasher and changed Adam's bedding. That's a start, I suppose.
4. OK, I'm back on my WeightWatchers.com page. I've been paying for it, might as well use it. Meals for the day are planned in the morning. I love structure! COMMIT!
However, Taco Bell was not part of the plan.
Tonight, Eric, Lauren, Adam, and I went downtown to see The Blind Side. We give it eight thumbs up!

The List
Since this is the PM of Christmas Day, I am not counting this as an official day of the 90-Day self-improvement journey. I will update my list as I come up with more areas to improve, but for now, this is a start:
1. I want to be a better person. I am starting this journey with a morning Bible-study (Day 1). I have a Karen Kingsbury 52-Week Devotional book ordered from Barnes and Noble, but it will not be here before I get up, so I think I will start with the Women's Devotional Bible. I love Beth Moore, and I have a number of her studies, but hers are so long... commit, COMMIT!
2. I want to be a more loving person, and I want to teach my children to be loving people. Enough said.
3. I want to run an efficient household. Once upon a time, my house was always clean and tidy. Everything had a place and that is where it could be found. NO GERMS ALLOWED! This I believe will help not only our overall health but, I believe, our overall happiness as well.
4. I want to eat healthier, exercise more, lose weight, and feel better. It would be great to get off meds
5. I want to read more.
6. I want to write more...hence this blog. Hopefully, this will take some of my time away from Facebook, Mafia Wars, Farmville, and Fishville.
7. I want to direct a winning play.
8. I want to coach Prose and Poetry Interp all the way to state.
9. I want to put in a yard.
10. I want to play my piano at least once a week.
